It helped change public expectations about what AI could do.
Before GPT-4, many people viewed AI primarily as a tool for generating simple text or answering basic questions.

- Business tasks
- Creative work
That shift influenced the development of many AI products that followed.
Should You Still Learn About GPT-4?
Yes, but don't treat it as the latest AI technology.

The technology also taught users an important lesson: capability and reliability are not the same thing.
A system can produce an impressive answer and still be wrong.
That lesson will become even more important as AI becomes capable of performing increasingly complex tasks.
